About Hannah


I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, on a mission to helping YOU source the most evidence based nutrition information to help educate, motivate, and inspire you (and all of your friends) to live a healthy and active life!


I grew up in upstate New York and completed my bachelor’s of science at the University of Vermont (UVM), where I studied Dietetics, Nutrition, and Food Science. I then moved to Ithaca, NY to complete my 1470 hour of supervised practice, research focused, Dietetic Internship at Cornell University. Currently, I am completing my Master’s of Science in Nutritional Science at Cornell and my thesis investigates motivation to engage in physical activity because I know you know the behaviors you need to do but understand there is often a disconnect between knowing and doing. When working with my clients, I strive to minimize the amount of thought process and willpower that goes into an individuals decisions around food and exercise choices, thus allowing them to make the healthiest choice the easiest option.

As a dietitian, I wear many hats. One of these hats is being a Wellness Dietitian at Cornell Wellness. In this job, I work with staff, faculty, retirees, and their spouses/partners of Cornell University and provide individualized nutrition counseling, cooking demos, and teach classes for departments and groups throughout campus. I see clients with an array of nutritional needs such as weight management, diabetes, heart disease, etc. Another hat that I wear is being a Sports Dietitian/ Nutrition Coach with the company Sailing Performance Training (SPT). SPT is a remote coaching business for elite sailors and works with high level athletes and teams like the United States Olympic Sailing Team and the Youth Red Bull America’s Cup. My job is to compliment the athletes strength and conditioning program with a nutrition plan to enhance performance and promote recovery.

When I’m not busy studying or reading up on the most current nutrition research, I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors. Much of my time is spent swimming, biking, running, skiing, boating, or pretty much any fun outdoor activity. I have completed two, IRONMAN Lake Placid Triathlons at the ages of 18 and 20; at UVM I was the President of the Triathlon Team where I encouraged members of all abilities to race fast, fuel properly, and most importantly have fun!!

Other notable nutrition experiences include: Interning at the United States Ski and Snowboard Association’s Center of Excellence in Park City Utah, where I helped fuel our nation’s most elite skiers and snowboarders; Advocating, on behalf of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in a bipartisan manner, in Washington D.C., to federal legislators about critical policies that impact the health of our nation and the dietetics profession; Conducting nutrition research to contribute to the expansive scientific literature; and teaching assistant at UVM for the courses Nutrition Throughout the Lifecycle and Human Health in the Food System then at Cornell for the course Introduction to Public Health. All of these experiences contribute to my credibility in providing you the safest and most accurate dietary advice!
